WICCA, a Thrash Metal Band from Lake of Constance, was formed in the early 80s and released 2 demo-tapes in the following 3 years. During this time, WICCA opened for large bands such as Darkness, Accuser, Mucky Pub, Hades, Messiah, Despair, Chroming Rose, Midas Touch, Poltergeist und Drifter. Now as an established band inland, WICCA eventually began booking gigs abroad, performin g headliner shows. Three years later, in 1988, the southern german born band, succeeded in landing a record deal with the german label "Steps Records". The record label released the debut-album "SPLENDED DEED" in 1989. Its popularity with the thrash metal generation grew. Discovered again in 2006, the new generation of thrash metal fans began listening to WICCA again, as we know it today.
After a small tour during the former "DDR", a record deal with Virgin Records, unfortunately fell through; thus eventually resulting in the brake-up of the 5 head thrash metal band. Some members of WICCA became involved in different band projects. In 2007, WICCA was offered a deal from the korean Label "Bleeding Chainsaw Records", to re-release their debut-album "SPLENDED DEED" and this remastered issue, received a very positive reaction. Rave reviews appeared all over the wold in print-and online magazines, followed by requests to bring out new material.
At this time, the band came together again, resulting in a reunion show and WICCA was born again. Gigs in Germany and Switzerland took place, opening for several bands including the NWOBHM-Legend "JAGUAR". Currently WICCA is booked for live performances in 2010 and 2011 with many plans to continue there after. The energetic band quickly searched for a recording studio to beging working on the second album.
With th e producer and sound engineer Connie Andreszka ( the bassist in the band Mystic Prophecy), WICCA found the perfect person to give the band that "correct" sound they were looking for their real "OLDSCHOOL THRASH ATTACK." With the resulting Album "BLOODRUSH", WICCA succeeded a second time in landing a record deal with Twilightzone Records. The Album came out in April 2010 and was also rated by rave reviews worldwide. In the Fall of 2010, a Line Up change happened with Connie Andreszka joining the band on Guitars. 2011 so far, WICCA did many live performances (a.o. Death Angel, Vicious Rumors, Detente) and started working on their third Album. Currently, there is a brand new Video presenting a preview from the new Album 2012. At the same time, Robo Indrist joined the band on drums.
